Lone Star Family Services
Effective Date: Jun 20, 2026
Lone Star Family Services ("LSFS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at lonestarfamilyservices.com (the "Site") and to information we collect in connection with our supervised visitation and monitored exchange services.
By using the Site, contacting us, or providing your information through any of our forms, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact information — your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number (including mobile number).
Case and intake information — information you provide during onboarding and screening, including details about parties involved, scheduling needs, safety screening responses, court order details, and other information necessary to provide services.
Information about children — names and information about the child or children involved in your case, provided by the responsible adult, as needed to deliver services safely.
Payment information — billing details necessary to process payments. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems; payments are handled through our payment processor.
Website usage information — basic technical information automatically collected when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you complete an intake or contact form, schedule services, communicate with us by phone, text, or email, or sign client agreements. We also collect website usage information automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you visit the Site.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, schedule, and coordinate supervised visitation and monitored exchange services;
Communicate with you about your case, appointments, and services, including by text message, phone, and email;
Document visits and prepare records and reports as required by our role and applicable law;
Process payments and maintain billing records;
Comply with legal obligations, including mandatory reporting duties;
Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site.
4. Text Messaging (SMS) Information
If you provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages related to your service with us, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances. The mobile phone number you provide for text messaging and your SMS opt-in consent are used solely by Lone Star Family Services to communicate with you about your services, and are not sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
With parties and the court — consistent with the nature of supervised visitation, information observed or disclosed during services is not confidential and may be documented and shared with the parties to the case and, where applicable, the court.
Mandatory reporting — all LSFS monitors and staff are mandated reporters under Texas law. Under Texas Family Code Chapter 261, we have a personal, non-delegable duty to report suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities. This duty cannot be waived.
Service providers — with vendors that help us operate, such as our scheduling/CRM platform and payment processor, who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us. This sharing never includes mobile opt-in data or SMS consent for marketing purposes.
Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the safety of a child, a party, our staff, or the public.
We do not share, sell, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal and case information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain required records, comply with our legal and professional obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may be governed by applicable law and by the recordkeeping requirements of our profession.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information online directly from children. Information about the child or children involved in a case is provided to us by the responsible adult as part of the service, and is handled with confidentiality consistent with our role and applicable law.
